The 2015 Hyundai Sonata

The 2015 Hyundai Sonata

The 2015 Hyundai Sonata has been redesigned to look more sophisticated and less busy.  The new Sonata has fewer cutlines and has a “less is more” sort of look. The headlights have been updated and look trendy with hard edges and polygonal shapes. It looks classy and is more likely to age better then the design of the previous Sonata that had about a three year run. The rear of the vehicle has a subtle but striking spoiler and a trapezoid shaped spoiler on the left and right side of the car. They do not protrude from the car and have a seamless look that fits nicely into the under-molding of the rear. This look mirrors the current trend that is the polar opposite of the 90’s and early 2000’s look of large, protruding. cylindrical spoilers that were the first things one might see looking at the back of a car.

The interior of the car has also been redesigned and takes after the exterior by cleaning up the unnecessary and consolidating what is important. The controls have been regrouped for more convenient access and to look less cluttered. The trim is also more formal and is laden with wood grain options, carbon fiber panels and aluminum pieces that make the interior much more interesting than before. The cabin is also larger and roomier, especially for the rear passengers. The new Sonata is available now at Chapman Hyundai.

The performance of the Sonata has been radically changed for the better. The new Sonata is quieter, turns better, and is more responsive. What’s under the hood hasn’t changed much but has been tuned to increase response and performance. Safety features have been added such as blind spot detection, lane departure warning, and active cruise control. The new Sonata also features a new driver-side knee airbag on top of all the airbags the last model had. Previous Sonatas have consistently earned 5/5 ratings for safety and the 2015 version should be no different. Last but not least, the 2015 Sonata is one of the most gas efficient cars in its class and is estimated to get a combined 29 miles per gallon.
