Tucson Voted Most Appealing

TUCSON RECEIVES J.D. POWER 2016 APEAL AWARD

Stirs Owners’ Emotions and Excitement

Based mostly on its sporty design and outstanding performance, the Hyundai Tucson has won the title of most appealing small SUV. The JD Power research organization made the announcement recently that the Tucson took first place in the Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study. Now more than two decades old, this study measures the emotional attachment an owner has to his or her vehicle, as well as the level of excitement the vehicle demands. The study examines 77 categories ranging from the thrill of stepping on the accelerator to the comfort and security the vehicle delivers. See what’s most appealing about the Tucson in your own eyes by taking a test drive at Chapman Hyundai on Bell Road.

Tucson Has Strong Showing in Economy and Comfort

By delivering up to 32 mpg on the highway and providing customers excellent handling and a comfortable ride, the Tucson left all other SUVs in the dust. “We are thrilled with the recognition of Tucson in this year’s J.D. Power APEAL Study,” said director of Hyundai product planning Scott Margason. “The new Tucson looks great, has two fuel efficient engines and a roomy interior that satisfies a wide range of SUV buyers. The team did a great job launching the all-new Tucson this year.” Along with economy and comfort, the Tucson scored high for the HVAC system, exterior design, interior quality and storage.

2017 Tucson Offers Four Trim Levels

Whether you choose the base SE, ECO, Sport or Limited models, the 2017 Hyundai Tucson has a little something for everyone. Starting at just $22,700, the SE comes with a 2.0L engine that produces 164 horsepower. When teamed with the 6-speed automatic transmission, it delivers 30 miles to the gallon. Other standard features include air conditioning, a 5-inch color screen infotainment system and 6-way adjustable seat for the driver. The rest of the trim levels pair a 1.6L engine with a 7-speed automatic transmission. This not only provides more power, but adds a couple of miles a gallon to the highway fuel estimate. Features like projector headlights, LED running lights, larger wheels, heated seats and a larger touchscreen to control audio, navigation and hands-free communication become available as you move to the higher-priced models.

Don’t Forget Industry’s Top Warranty

While other manufacturer’s give you a 36 month or 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, Hyundai is known for its generous 60-month, 60,000 mile coverage. The powertrain warranty is even longer, covering 120 months and 100,000 miles. Now’s the time to head to Chapman Hyundai on Bell Road and see why Hyundai is recording record sales almost every month.
